Job summary

The Texas Democratic Party is seeking a Regional GOTV Director in McAllen, Texas to lead a regional team of GOTV Organizers and drive large-scale voter contact efforts for the Texas Together 2026 Coordinated Campaign. You will coach organizers, troubleshoot issues, and ensure top-level execution across the region.

The role requires 2 campaign cycles and at least 4 months of team management, with long hours and a 6-day workweek during peak periods.

Qualifications

• At least 4 months experience managing a team.
• At least 2 cycles of experience on a campaign.
• Access to a reliable car and driver’s license.
• Access to a phone and laptop computer.
• Strong mastery of computer systems like Google Suite, Excel, and online databases.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of GOTV Organizers through weekly one-on-ones, coaching, feedback, etc.
• Coordinate in-region with in-region counterparts from other departments and the coordinated campaign.
• Foster accountability, collaboration, learning, and support amidst the fast pace of the campaign.
• Maintain strong communication structures, including daily check-ins and check-outs, team chats, reporting channels.
• Share campaign priorities, strategic shifts, and plans to ensure organizers understand how goals contribute to overall success.
• Ensure staging locations are identified, secured, equipped, staffed, and prepared to support GOTV operations.
• Respond quickly to challenges to keep organizing programs running effectively.
• Collect, analyze, and communicate regional metrics, with increased reporting during GOTV.
