Job summary

Gilder Search Group seeks a Regional Geriatric Physician to provide hands-on medical care across three geriatric and long-term care facilities in the Boston area. The role emphasizes direct patient care for elderly residents and close collaboration with nursing and care teams.

Ideal candidates will have an MD or DO with an active license and experience in long-term care settings. Travel between facilities is required, with a stable, daytime schedule and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with an active and unrestricted medical license.
• Experience caring for geriatric, long-term care, skilled nursing, or nursing home patients.
• Board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Geriatrics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct medical care to elderly residents in long-term care and skilled nursing facilities.
• Conduct patient evaluations, follow-up visits, and routine medical assessments.
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Develop and manage individualized treatment plans.
• Review medications and make appropriate adjustments.
• Monitor changes in patients' medical conditions and coordinate appropriate treatment.
• Collaborate with nursing staff, administrators, families, and other healthcare professionals.
• Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary team meetings.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
• Ensure high-quality, patient-centered care and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with specialists, hospitals, and other providers when necessary.
