Job summary

Preston Harris Group seeks a Regional Geriatric Physician to provide hands-on medical care across two/three geriatric and long-term care facilities in the Pennsylvania area. The role centers on elderly patient care, with visits to one facility per day and travel between sites.

The ideal candidate is an MD or DO with a license and extensive experience in geriatrics or nursing-home medicine, capable of coordinating with interdisciplinary teams and ensuring high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

MD or DO with an active and unrestricted medical license.
Experience providing medical care to geriatric, long-term care, skilled nursing, or nursing home patients.
Nursing home or long-term care physician experience strongly preferred.
Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

Provide direct medical care to elderly residents in long‑term care and skilled nursing facilities.
Conduct patient evaluations, follow‑up visits, and routine medical assessments.
Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions.
Develop and manage individualized treatment plans.
Review medications and adjust as needed.
Monitor changes in patients' conditions and coordinate treatment.
Work closely with nursing staff, administrators, families, and other healthcare professionals.
Coordinate with specialists, hospitals, and other providers when necessary.
