Job summary

ECS Group of Companies (ECS) is seeking a Geotechnical Principal in the United States to provide top-level technical leadership across our geotechnical practice. You will ensure quality, drive strategic project direction, and oversee regional execution while mentoring and building client relationships.

You will review reports, drive business development, and participate in leadership initiatives, reporting to senior leaders and representing ECS in industry activities.

Qualifications

• 12 years of related experience.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Professional Geologist (P.G.) license in each state of work.
• Strong regional or multi-regional client relationships.
• Proven success in business development and revenue growth.
• Advanced technical expertise across geotechnical disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical leadership and oversight on geotechnical projects.
• Performs final technical review and approval of reports, calculations, and deliverables.
• Ensures quality, accuracy, and consistency of technical output across projects and teams.
• Leads strategic project performance and mitigates high-risk issues.
• Mentors Associate Principals, Senior Project Managers, and future leaders.
• Supports business development and client relationship growth.
