Job summary

Terracon is seeking a senior geophysics leader to oversee near-surface geophysical teams in the Northern California Region, with responsibility for revenue growth, standardization of policies, and quality/safety oversight.

The role can be based out of Lodi or Sacramento, requiring 10+ years in the field (14+ with no degree) and a Professional Geophysicist designation where required by state standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, geology or geophysics with 10+ years of related experience.
• Or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 14 years’ related experience.
• Master's degree or PhD preferred.
• Professional Geophysicist designation based on state requirements.
• Terracon Authorized Project Reviewer status preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee regional geophysics teams with training, inspections and equipment utilization.
• Partner with National Manager and regional Ops to grow revenue and deliver services.
• Monitor performance via site visits, safety investigations, audits and metrics.
• Lead recruitment and selection for team members in Northern California.
• Manage project risk; ensure contracts are signed and work is executed.
• Communicate safety initiatives and enforce safety rules.
• Promote continuous quality monitoring and improvement on projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
