State of Tennessee seeks a Region Geodetics Engineering Technician 4 to lead field and office geodetics tasks, coordinate survey crews, and ensure data quality for TDOT projects. You will work under the Region Geodetics Foreman, applying TDOT standards and ORD software in a collaborative, matrix environment.

Ideal candidates bring extensive geodetics experience, strong communication, and the ability to mentor teams while delivering accurate surveys and documentation for complex roadway programs.

Qualifications

• Education equivalent to graduation from high school and four years of relevant transportation operations experience and completion of the Engineering Technician Proficiency Program levels I through III.
• Associate degree may substitute for 2 years of experience in the related field.

Responsabilités

• Assist with supporting Project Teams and the TDOT Work Program by collecting geodetic data and assisting with analysis and technical drawings.
• Develop workflows for geodetics equipment and software and provide troubleshooting assistance.
• Guide survey field crews in land surveys and control surveys; estimate time and equipment.
• Produce geodetic data in conformance with TDOT standards; create data, reports, and drawings.
