Job summary

The Region Geodetics Transportation Engineer at Tennessee Department of Transportation provides geodetic technical leadership within Region 3 Preconstruction. You will coordinate data collection, processing, and design integration, mentoring staff and ensuring adherence to TDOT standards.

You will also train teams, update geodetics procedures, manage deliverables with the Geodetics Manager, and support schedules and budgets while collaborating across TDOT disciplines to maximize project

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with active PE status and 4 years in transportation projects.
• Experience developing and/or constructing transportation projects.
• Ability to mentor and train staff in geodetics concepts.

Responsibilities

• Provide geodetic expertise to support Region 3 Preconstruction and coordinate data collection.
• Ensure compliance with TDOT Quality Assurance programs and standards.
• Collaborate across TDOT disciplines to integrate geodetic work into design.
• Lead training and dissemination of Geodetics policies and guidance.
• Support project milestones with risk assessment and data-driven decisions.
