The University of Florida Health system seeks a full‑time General Surgeon to join UF Health Central Florida’s General Surgery Department serving Lake County and surrounding communities. Board Certified or Board Eligible, with residency training and Florida licensure.

This role emphasizes leadership, patient-centered care, and collaboration with regional physicians to develop care pathways and improve outcomes.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice medicine in accordance with Chapter 458, Florida Statutes* plus four years of appropriate experience.
• Completion of a residency program may substitute for the required experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide and execute best practice strategies and quality outcomes.
• Manage strategic clinical relationships with regional physicians and collaborate with the VP of Strategic Service Lines for marketing and Business Development activities.
• Setting major goals to align with broad functional objectives for General Surgery and develop patient care pathways.
