Job summary

IDEA (Islamic Development & Empowerment in America) is seeking a part-time Development Coordinator in Nebraska or Iowa. The role builds donor, masjid, business, and community relationships to advance IDEA's mission and Fund Development goals, reporting to the Regional Manager.

The coordinator manages an assigned portfolio, secures fundraising opportunities, supports regional events and campaigns, and represents IDEA at community events.

Qualifications

• Experience in fundraising and donor engagement.
• Strong communication and public speaking skills.
• Ability to build relationships with diverse communities and stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain positive relationships with donors, masajid, businesses, community institutions, volunteers, and the general public throughout the assigned area.
• Strengthen relationships with existing masajid and identify opportunities to establish relationships with new masajid and communities.
• Conduct outreach visits and represent IDEA at community events and program engagements as assigned.
• Plan, organize, host, and support regional fundraising activities and events in coordination with the Regional Manager, Event Coordinator, other appropriate staff, and volunteers.
• Respond to donor and community inquiries with accurate and timely information about IDEA’s campaigns, programs, and opportunities for engagement.
• Schedules and delivers presentations to audiences of diverse backgrounds.
• Prepares and submits plans, projections, and reports to the Regional Community Fund Development Manager.
• Research local communities, prospects, and emerging opportunities to support regional fundraising and development strategies.
• Continue to strengthen job-related knowledge and skills through required training, workshops, readings, and professional-development opportunities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
