Job summary

Perlmutter Eye Center & Perlmutter Dermatology is seeking a Front Desk Manager to lead the Albany front desk and provide oversight for Clifton Park and Troy locations. The role emphasizes patient experience, scheduling integrity, and consistent front desk practices across all offices.

You will supervise front desk staff, coordinate with HR and Practice Administration, and ensure HIPAA compliance, accurate payments, and smooth workflow across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of management or supervisory experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Healthcare/medical office experience preferred.
• Ability to learn ModMed EMR and other systems.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise Albany front desk team and support Clifton Park and Troy leads.
• Recruit, onboard, train, and coach front desk staff in collaboration with HR.
• Establish expectations for attendance, performance, and customer service.
• Coordinate with Front Desk Leads on staffing, scheduling, and day-to-day concerns.
• Monitor patient flow and optimize provider schedules.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and secure handling of payments.
• Collaborate with Patient Access Manager, Billing, HR, and Practice Administration.
• Oversee multi-location operations, supply management, and office events.
