Job summary

Kokosing, Inc. seeks a Regional Equipment Manager to lead regional fleet strategy across construction, transportation, and marine assets. You will optimize uptime, manage budgets, and drive cost efficiencies by leveraging telematics and data analytics.

You will partner with regional leaders to align equipment plans with project needs, safety requirements, and workforce planning, delivering reliable, cost-effective asset utilization.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive equipment, fleet, or maintenance leadership experience in construction or related industries.
• Strong knowledge of heavy construction equipment, trucks, trailers, cranes, earthmoving equipment, and marine assets.
• Proven leadership experience managing maintenance teams in shop and field environments.
• Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, powertrain components, diagnostic technologies, and maintenance best practices.
• Experience with telematics, CMMS, fleet management systems, and data analytics.
• Demonstrated financial acumen managing multimillion-dollar operating and capital budgets.
• Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Fleet Management, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional fleet lifecycle management including specification development and asset replacement strategies.
• Manage a diverse fleet of heavy construction equipment, on-road assets, marine equipment, and mid-size gear.
• Collaborate with regional leaders to align equipment strategies with project demands and growth.
• Forecast equipment needs with project managers and safety teams to optimize deployment.
• Develop and monitor fleet KPIs such as availability, utilization, and cost per hour.
• Use telematics and analytics to drive data-based decisions and continuous improvement.
• Oversee preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance programs.
• Lead maintenance standards and accountability across shops and field operations.
• Drive budget development and governance for regional fleet spending.
