Job summary

Bedrock Robotics is seeking a senior leader to manage the Central Region fleet operations, ensuring uptime, MTTR, MTBF, and first-time fix targets across a multi-state territory centered in Dallas, TX. You will build and guide a distributed team of Fleet Technicians, while partnering with Engineering and Customer Success to sustain high service levels and safety standards in field deployments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in field service, fleet operations, or technical field management with at least 2 years in a supervisory/managerial role.
• Experience managing geographically distributed teams across multiple states or regions.
• Hands-on technical background in electromechanical systems, robotics, industrial automation, or related field.
• Proven track record owning and improving reliability KPIs (uptime, MTTR, MTBF, first-time fix).
• Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision making.
• Excellent communication with stakeholders and enterprise customers.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% across the Central Region.
• Valid US driver’s license with ability to operate a commercial vehicle if required.
• Experience with field service management software (Fleetio, SAP, Salesforce Field Service, IFS, ERP).

Responsibilities

• Directly manage a distributed team of Fleet Technicians (typical 8–15) across the Central Region.
• Recruit, onboard, and develop technician talent; conduct regular reviews and career discussions.
• Build and maintain technician scheduling, on-call rotations, and deployment coverage to meet regional SLAs.
• Own regional fleet uptime, MTTR, MTBF, and first-time-fix rate metrics; report weekly.
• Coordinate with Engineering for root cause analysis and drive systemic fixes into future builds.
• Manage regional parts inventory and tooling supply chain to resolve issues within SLA windows.
• Lead regional safety events/field stops; ensure compliance with DOT/OSHA; liaise with Safety, Engineering, Customer Success.
• Serve as Bedrock field representative for Central Region customers; attend QBRs and site reviews.
• Develop SOPs, playbooks, and escalation paths; provide regional field intelligence to Product/Engineering.
