Join Us as a Regional Finance Manager at Terracon

Terracon's Eastern Midwest Division is growing, and we are excited to offer a rewarding career opportunity. We are seeking a motivated and skilled Regional Finance Manager to support our offices in Louisville, KY; Lexington, KY; Columbus, OH; Cleveland, OH; Akron, OH; Cincinnati, OH; Indianapolis, IN; Niles, MI; Grand Rapids, MI; Charleston, WV; and Morgantown, WV. The successful candidate can be based out of any of these locations, offering flexibility and convenience.

The role involves partnering with operations management, project professionals, and operational finance to optimize efficiency and improve financial results for our region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage planning, organization, and financial activities related to project registrations, invoicing, WIP management, revenue recognition, and collections.
  • Partner with Corporate Accounting and Operational Finance to ensure compliance with invoicing procedures and company policies.
  • Hire, train, mentor, develop, and manage performance of the regional finance team.
  • Assist with financial planning and analysis, including reviewing project contracts, analyzing financial data, and supporting strategic initiatives.
  • Lead efforts to ensure accurate and timely client invoicing and collections.
  • Oversee electronic project files and ensure proper documentation and compliance.
  • Identify and resolve billing and accounts receivable discrepancies.
  • Support training for project managers and staff on financial tools and reports.
  • Participate in operational and ERP system improvements and ad hoc projects.
  • Lead safety and quality initiatives within the team.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with at least 8 years of experience, or a minimum of 12 years of related experience without a degree.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Experience supervising teams.
  • Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, lookup functions, and advanced formulas.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
  • Experience in the A/E/C industry and familiarity with Oracle Cloud is a plus.
