Job summary

Forvis Mazars US Executive Search Practice seeks a Regional Finance Director to partner with regional leadership across Monroe, OH, Houston, TX, or Dallas, TX. Reporting to the CFO, you will drive financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and project analysis to support regional performance.

The role requires 10+ years in finance/accounting, with 5+ in project-based or construction environments, plus a strong understanding of percentage-of-completion accounting, job costing, and GAAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Construction Management, or related field.
• 10+ years of finance/accounting experience, including 5+ years in a project-based or construction environment.
• Strong understanding of percentage-of-completion accounting, job costing, and GAAP.
• Experience supporting multi-location operations and cross-functional teams.
• ERP experience required; Vista experience preferred.
• Power BI experience preferred.
• CPA, MBA, or other advanced certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual budgeting and strategic financial planning processes
• Manage quarterly forecasts, scenario planning, and performance analysis
• Partner with project teams to ensure accurate forecasting, accounting, and financial reporting
• Monitor accounts receivable, billings, and cash flow performance
• Provide actionable insights on project performance, profitability, pricing, and resource allocation
• Analyze market, customer, and operational trends to support business decisions
• Support capital investment evaluations and strategic initiatives
• Lead regional financial reporting and budget-to-actual analysis
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies
• Support month-end close activities and maintain reporting accuracy
• Leverage ERP systems and Power BI to improve reporting and decision-making
• Develop, mentor, and lead finance team members
• Partner closely with operations and executive leadership to drive business performance
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and financial best practices
