Oak View Group is seeking a Regional Finance Director to lead financial excellence across 10–12 venues in the specified region. You will guide Area Finance Managers and General Managers in budgeting and compliance, while building a high‑performing field finance team.

The role reports to the VP of Finance Operations, with responsibilities spanning hiring, onboarding, and performance management, as well as driving process improvements and strategic financial planning in a dynamic live events

Qualifications

  • 5–7+ years of experience in finance and/or accounting, or related profession experience.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a focus on coaching, mentoring, and developing teams.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams and executive leadership.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis tools and staying updated on industry trends and best practices.
  • NetSuite and Sage experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the field finance team’s hiring, onboarding, and performance management.
  • Drive process improvements and cost savings through standardization, simplification, and automation.
  • Administer policies with District Managers and General Managers to meet financial objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and accounting standards across venues.
  • Provide financial analysis and guidance for new and existing business start-ups.
  • Develop and present the quarterly Management Operating Review.
  • Train the field finance team on new accounting procedures and programs.
  • Monitor working capital, especially AR management and collections.
  • Review balance sheet controls (AR, cash handling, deposits, accruals).
  • Evaluate new business opportunities via proforma review and potential investments.

Overview

As a key member of the management team, the Regional Finance Director at Oak View Group in the Hospitality division will report to the Vice President of Finance Operations. The role is at the forefront of driving financial excellence across 10-12 venues within the designated region. You will collaborate closely with various departments to provide invaluable financial insights that support broader organizational goals.

Your leadership will be instrumental in developing and guiding Area Finance Managers and General Managers (GMs) in budgeting, financial planning, and compliance activities, ensuring operational excellence across the region. You will also lead the hiring, onboarding, and performance management of the field finance team, ensuring their professional development and alignment with the region's objectives.

This role requires a detail‑oriented individual who is ready to roll up their sleeves and possess both strategic business perspective and tactical execution ability. The culture at OVG supports team‑first collaboration and the ability to adapt to a continually evolving business environment.

Position salary ranges from $100,000 to $115,000.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the hiring, onboarding, and performance management of the field finance team, ensuring their professional development and growth.
  • Evaluate processes and procedures to gain efficiencies and cost savings by driving continuous improvement; utilizing standardization, simplification, and automation when possible.
  • Administer policies and programs in collaboration with District Managers, Regional VPs, and General Managers to achieve the region's financial and operating objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, regulations, and accounting standards across all venues.
  • Support new and current business start‑ups by providing financial analysis and guidance.
  • Assist in the development and presentation of the quarterly Management Operating Review.
  • Conduct ongoing training sessions for the field finance team on new accounting procedures and financial programs.
  • Monitor working capital requirements, particularly focusing on accounts receivable administration and collection.
  • Review the controls of balance sheet reconciliations, including AR, Change Fund, Customer Deposits, Deferred Income, and Accrued Expenses at field locations.
  • Evaluate new business opportunities through proforma review, customer reinvestment, investments, acquisitions, and divestitures.
  • Engage with other regional managers to identify and promote sharing of best practices.
Qualifications
  • 5‑7+ years of experience in finance and/or accounting, or related profession experience.
  • Prior experience providing 3rd party services is preferred.
  • Multi‑Site and contract experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience as a hands‑on finance professional.
  • Experience managing back‑office capabilities (A/P, A/R, Payroll) is ideal but not required.
  • Excellent understanding of budgeting, financial planning, compliance requirements, and ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a focus on coaching, mentoring, and developing teams.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams and executive leadership.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis tools and staying updated on industry trends and best practices.
  • Commitment to fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • NetSuite and Sage experience is a plus.
  • Willing to travel 20-40% if applicable.
