Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking an Operations Controller – Regional Planning & Forecasting to partner with regional leadership on financial planning, forecasting, and accounting across a defined geographic area. The role combines tight financial controls with strategic business insight to drive performance.

You will oversee annual plans, monthly close, KPI reporting, and data-driven improvements, with travel approximately 50%. Strong accounting, FP&A, and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA/CPA a plus).
• 5–8+ years in FP&A, operations finance, or controllership roles.
• Strong accounting, forecasting, and financial modeling skills.
• Proven ability to partner with cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel/BI tools.
• Significant travel required (≈50%).

Responsibilities

• Lead annual operating plans, quarterly forecasts, and long-range financial projections for the assigned region.
• Partner with regional leadership to translate operational drivers into accurate financial forecasts.
• Monitor performance against plan, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions.
• Oversee month-end close activities for the region, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare and review regional financial statements, management reports, and KPI dashboards.
• Maintain strong internal controls and support audit requirements as needed.
• Communicate financial insights, risks, and opportunities clearly to leadership.
• Support operational leaders with data-driven recommendations to improve efficiency and profitability.
