About the Team/Role

The Regional Field Sales Representative is a field sales and retention role responsible for growing revenue within a specific geographic region for WEX. The RSM maintains existing accounts and acquires new business through cross-selling, cold-calling, prospecting, consulting, and closing opportunities. This involves visiting prospects face-to-face to understand their business, proposing solutions offered by WEX, and closing new deals.

Compensation: Base pay ranges from $65,000 to $75,000 plus commission, with targeted earnings of $95,000 to $114,000. Commissions are uncapped.

This role is territory-specific; only candidates residing in MA, NY, VT, CT, NJ, NH, RI, PA, and ME will be considered.

How you'll make an impact
  • Meet and exceed monthly KPIs such as net new revenue, processed sales, and attrition
  • Visit 10-12 new customers or prospects weekly
  • Develop a strategic plan for attacking your territory, considering geographic and vertical segments
  • Generate your own leads; WEX supports this effort
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of fleet opportunities
  • Keep accurate records in Salesforce
  • Partner with your account manager to maintain current accounts
  • Communicate proactively about your work
  • Demonstrate strong discovery and presentation skills with product and competitive knowledge
Experience you'll bring
  • 3-5 years of outside sales experience with proven client acquisition
  • Consistent quota performance in a B2B sales environment
  • Ability to sell against competitors
  • Strong prospecting, channel development, and qualification skills
  • Territory management skills
  • Willingness to travel via air and vehicle
  • Ability to pass a background check

The indicated pay range ($75,000 - $100,000) is an estimate; actual pay varies based on qualifications and skills. Compensation includes base salary and potential commissions.
