About the Team/Role

The Regional Field Sales Representative is a field sales and retention position responsible for working within a specific geographic region to grow revenue for WEX. The RSM maintains the current book of business and expands it through cross-selling, cold-calling, prospecting, consulting, and closing opportunities. This growth is driven by visiting new prospects face-to-face to understand their business, propose solutions provided by WEX, and close new business.

Base pay for this position ranges from $65,000 to $75,000+, plus commission, with targeted earnings of $95,000 to $114,000. Commission is uncapped.

Due to our sales process, this role is territory-specific; only candidates residing in MA, NY, VT, CT, NJ, NH, RI, PA, and ME will be considered.

How you'll make an impact

  • Meet and often exceed monthly KPIs (net new revenue, processed sales, attrition)
  • Visit 10-12 new customers or prospects weekly
  • Develop a strategic plan with your sales manager for attacking your territory, considering geographic and vertical segment factors
  • Generate your own leads; WEX supports this, but initiative is required
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of fleet opportunities
  • Maintain accurate records in Salesforce
  • Partner with your account manager to ensure current accounts are managed efficiently
  • Communicate proactively about your work
  • Demonstrate strong discovery and presentation skills with superior product and competitive knowledge

Experience you'll bring:

  • 3-5 years of outside sales experience with proven client acquisition
  • Consistent quota performance in a business-to-business sales environment
  • Ability to sell against competitors
  • Strong prospecting, channel development, and qualification skills
  • Territory management skills
  • Willingness to travel by air and vehicle
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Independent contributor role

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge in fleet management or commercial payments
  • Relationship management skills
  • Time management skills

The pay range reflects the low and high ends of the anticipated salary; actual pay will depend on qualifications and skills. Compensation includes base salary and potential commissions.
