Sheakley is seeking a Construction Safety Coordinator in Richmond, VA to oversee field safety across multiple active projects. The role requires hands-on field work, site visits, hazard assessments, and enforcing safety protocols in line with OSHA standards.

You will coordinate JHAs, pre-task plans, permits, and safety documentation while coaching field personnel and supporting project managers. This is a dynamic, field-focused opportunity with relocation support and a competitive compensation

Qualifikationen

• OSHA 30 Construction Certification required.
• 3–5 years of commercial construction safety experience.
• Trenching and excavation safety experience required.
• Confined space experience preferred.
• General contractor safety management experience is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Provide safety support across multiple active construction projects.
• Maintain a strong field presence with routine project site visits.
• Conduct site inspections, safety audits, hazard assessments.
• Monitor excavation, trenching, confined space, and general construction activities.
• Review JHAs, pre-task plans, permits, and safety documentation.
• Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate corrective actions with project teams.
• Provide safety coaching and reinforce safe work practices with field personnel.
• Support project managers and superintendents with site-specific safety needs.
• Participate in incident investigations and corrective action implementation.
• Support employee orientations, toolbox talks, and safety meetings.
• Maintain required inspection records, reports, and compliance documentation.
• Promote consistent safety standards across all assigned projects.
