Job summary

Central Valley Ag is seeking a Field Sales Agronomist to become a trusted advisor for area producers, supplying agronomy inputs and services. You will build relationships, solicit new business, and deliver agronomic solutions to improve ROI and grow market share.

You will work with seed and precision farming tools, manage accounts, forecast inputs, negotiate contracts, and support the agronomy marketing program for the Clay Center region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy or Agriculture required.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an agronomy sales role.
• Proven history of delivery of results.
• Ability to communicate professionally with internal operations and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Build intimate relationships with targeted customers and drive value added sales.
• Develop agronomic solutions to improve customer ROI and grow market share.
• Lead in fertilizer, seed, chemical and GPS product recommendations.
• Maintain current customers and develop new business for the location.
