The Corporation for Ohio Appalachian Development (COAD) is seeking a Fatherhood Initiative Specialist to work with fathers and community partners across the COAD region, delivering locally based programming as part of the statewide Fatherhood Initiative.

You will build partnerships, conduct outreach, maintain databases, and participate in meetings to support outcomes for children and families, with a focus on high-need populations and strong confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a related field required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience in father engagement or family services preferred.
• Experience facilitating groups or giving community presentations preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to develop relationships with community organizations and outreach opportunities.
• Ability to collect, maintain, and report program data accurately.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn databases/tech.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a regional team.
• Commitment to professional growth and continued learning.

Responsabilités

• Complete training in an approved fatherhood curriculum and facilitate engagement classes.
• Build and maintain partnerships with local agencies and community leaders.
• Coordinate locally delivered programs with statewide media/outreach campaigns.
• Attend monthly funder meetings and assist with planning, goals, and reporting.
• Maintain program databases and assist with data collection, intake, surveys, reporting.
• Attend COAD meetings, conferences, and professional development opportunities.
• Assist with special projects, contracts, and new opportunities during the fiscal year.
• Represent COAD with community organizations and regional/state/national workgroups.
• Make community presentations and serve as a positive ambassador for COAD.
• Maintain professional confidentiality in all aspects of the position.
