Job summary

DIOCESE OF CHARLOTTE is seeking a full-time Regional Coordinator/Parish Support Specialist to provide communication and support between the Office of Faith Formation and local parishes. This role involves developing programs, assisting in events like the Diocesan Catechetical Conference, and promoting catechesis and discipleship. Applicants must have a master’s degree in religious education and at least five years of successful parish or diocesan work experience. Spanish proficiency is a plus, and the role may require occasional travel on weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be a practicing Catholic, faithful to the Magisterium of the Catholic Church.
• Five years of successful experience in parish/diocesan work.
• Ability to collaborate, communicate, and cooperate.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Catechetical Formation in program design and support.
• Secure speakers, musicians, and venues for events.
• Develop themes and advertising materials for programs.
• Expand outreach of programs through various communication methods.
• Monitor the diocesan website for accuracy and accessibility.
• Maintain financial records for the approved budget.
• Provide resources for parish leaders and maintain regular communication.
