Job summary

Akron Children's Hospital seeks a Regional Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform preventive, reactive, and emergency maintenance across our regional facilities. You will ensure safe, effective operation of all facilities and support the Facilities Director and Safety Team.

Responsibilities include CMMS documentation, regulatory compliance, and coordination with site managers for off-site locations. A valid driver's license and 2+ years of relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2+ years of relevant maintenance experience.
• Valid State Driver's License required and insurability as determined by ACH.

Responsibilities

• Understand regulatory compliance and maintenance strategies; ensure excellent customer service.
• Coordinate with site managers to service off-site locations.
• Document labor and notes on CMMS work orders.
• Provide support to Regional Facilities Maintenance Manager, Safety Team, and Facilities Director.
• Provide backup coverage to other technicians as needed.
• Communicate issues to internal and external departments.
• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance.
• Conduct safety checks (exit/emergency lights, fire extinguishers, generator runs).
• Follow Joint Commission and CMS regulations.
• Travel locally as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
