Job summary

Akron Children's is seeking a Clinical Engineering Technician to plan, organize, and perform highly skilled repairs, preventive maintenance, and incoming inspections on pediatric medical equipment on site in Akron, Ohio.

The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and requires an associate degree in electronic technology or related field with 5 to 7 years of relevant experience; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in the biomedical field.
• Experience with patient care equipment in pediatric facilities.
• Experience handling emergency situations.
• Experience working with all levels within an organization.
• Experience in healthcare is preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) or similar software.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, and carries out highly skilled engineering repairs, preventive maintenance and incoming inspections.
• Uses comprehensive knowledge of practices, procedures, and types of equipment.
• Performs a variety of professional level responsibilities.
• Other duties as required.
