Job summary

Conifer Realty in Rochester, NY, seeks a Regional Facilities Manager to oversee operations across multiple affordable housing communities. You will lead maintenance strategies, mentor site teams, and ensure safety, compliance, and cost efficiency across the region.

The role requires 8–10 years in property management or related fields, 5+ years leading multi-site teams, and strong knowledge of MEP systems. A bachelor's degree is preferred; OSHA 30-Hour or IFMA/BOMA certs are a plus.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years in property management, construction, or capital projects.
• 5+ years leading multi-site or regional maintenance teams.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems.
• Experience managing RFPs, vendor contracts, and capital improvement projects.
• Familiarity with HUD, REAC, NSPIRE, and LIHTC inspection and compliance standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Teams, and CMMS platforms.
• Skill in developing and managing budgets, tracking KPIs, and optimizing costs.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; OSHA 30-Hour, IFMA/BOMA, or similar certifications a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure readiness for HUD, NSPIRE, REAC, and LIHTC inspections.
• Support site maintenance and area facilities teams through training and leadership.
• Align operations with budget, compliance, and capital goals in collaboration with Property & Asset Management.
• Track KPIs, preventive maintenance, and asset performance for continuous improvement.
• Promote a strong safety culture by enforcing OSHA standards across operations.
• Identify technologies and practices that drive efficiency, sustainability, and asset longevity.

What You Bring As a Regional Facilities Manager

You combine technical expertise with leadership and vision. You bring:

Requirements

Work schedules may include Saturdays, based on property performance needs such as occupancy levels, leasing activity, and rent collections.

When required, weekend coverage will be scheduled on a rotating basis and aligned with business priorities.

Employees are expected to support leasing efforts, resident engagement, and rent collection activities during scheduled weekend hours.
