The Florida Department of Children and Families is seeking a General Services Specialist OPS in Jacksonville to support the Northeast Region with preventative maintenance, inventory, records management, fleet coordination, and procurement tasks.

This role involves hands-on maintenance across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life-safety systems, plus occasional travel and driving responsibilities in a busy government facility environment.

Qualifications

• Two years of general services or maintenance related work experience.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsabilités

• Perform and document preventative maintenance tasks for state-owned facilities and warehouses in the Northeast Region.
• Perform light maintenance tasks for HVAC,Electrical, Plumbing, and Door Hardware; obtain quotes and schedule vendors as needed.
• Provide support for property accountability, inventory, records management, and fleet management.
• Assist with procurement and purchasing of goods and services for maintenance of state-owned buildings and related projects; manage state P-card usage.
• Process records requests, coordinate transfer of records, maintain inventory in regional systems; assist with retention schedules.
• Assist the Northeast Region during hurricane response or activations.
• Occasional daytime travel within the Northeast region; some overnight travel.
• Use ladders and equipment to perform maintenance duties.
