Job summary

Walmart is seeking an experienced Licensed Facilities Maintenance Operations Manager to lead maintenance across a local regional market. This role oversees HVAC/R and building maintenance across multiple locations, moving beyond single-site tasks to drive facility performance while developing a team of skilled technicians.

The position requires an active HVAC/R Contractor license, EPA Universal Certification, 3–5 years in facilities management or related fields, and strong leadership,

Qualifications

• HVAC/R license and EPA Universal Certification required.
• 3–5 years of facilities management, construction management, mechanical maintenance, engineering or related field.
• Strong HVAC/mechanical knowledge.
• Leadership skills with ability to coach, motivate and develop others.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and customer-service skills.
• Experience with root-cause and equipment breakdown analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of facilities maintenance technicians.
• Oversee HVAC/R and general building maintenance across assigned locations.
• Partner with Store Managers and Facilities Services leaders to identify and resolve facility needs.
• Use reporting, analytics and root-cause analysis to improve equipment reliability and maintenance performance.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors when needed.
• Maintain required contractor licensing and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
• Secure required permits and coordinate inspections in accordance with mechanical and building codes.
• Conduct site inspections to support safety, quality and compliance standards.
• Travel approximately 50%+ throughout your local region.
