Job summary

OPCO Skilled Management seeks an Environmental Services Supervisor to oversee housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance, ensuring a sanitary, safe, and compliant environment at the center. You will lead teams, manage budgets, and maintain records in line with regulations.

Collaborating with facility leadership, you will develop preventive maintenance programs, improve service levels, and respond to emergencies with 24-hour on-call support, while driving cost-effective operations across the region.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Five years of supervisory experience in a commercial establishment.
• Minimum of 2 years work experience in long-term care preferred.
• HVAC Certification.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pre-qualify prospects for development of operations and maintenance contracts within centers.
• Formulate strategies to increase maintenance activity and meet goals.
• Develop cost proposals and planning for construction projects.
• Serve as primary contact with facility leadership for strong business relationships.
• Coordinate interface with project management and facility teams.
• Maintain current computer and software skills for the team.
• Supervise Environmental Services staff and manage budgets and staffing.
• Execute preventive maintenance programs and record-keeping systems.
• Collaborate with facility teams on environmental services, infection prevention, and service resolutions.
• Provide 24-hour on-call service to the nursing center for emergencies.
• Participate in staff and department head meetings and committees.
• Develop and update departmental procedures and policies.
• Perform daily rounds to ensure cleanliness and safety compliance.
• Ensure adequate supplies and maintain safe grounds and equipment.
