Job summary

State of South Carolina is seeking a Regional Director for the 1890 Cooperative Extension Program, based in Charleston. The role oversees leadership, staff supervision, and liaison activities at state and local levels, ensuring programs align with the Plan of Work.

You will develop regional KPI metrics, supervise staff and volunteers, and coordinate with federal, state, and local agencies to reflect stakeholder needs across the region. Travel and driver’s license are expected.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in education or related field with 5 years of extension and supervisory experience.
• Doctoral degree preferred in Education, Agribusiness, Business Management, Social Sciences, Family and Consumer Sciences, or related with 5 years of extension and supervisory experience.
• Experience planning, implementing and evaluating educational programs; ability to recruit, train and manage volunteers.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision of staff and volunteers.
• Lead KPI development and compliance for regional programs.
• Coordinate with federal, state, and local agencies to develop initiatives reflecting stakeholder needs.
• Oversee dissemination of programs and KPI implementation across the region.
