Job summary

H&R Block is seeking an Area Experience Leader to oversee a portfolio of 4–6 retail offices, ensuring a high-quality client experience across all locations. You will set expectations, coach Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals, and balance strategic oversight with in-office presence to strengthen execution and business results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years work experience leading teams in multi-unit environments with accountability for performance outcomes.
• Strong client-centric mindset with consultative client experience.
• Proven leadership ability to coach, develop, and hold teams accountable.
• Ability to drive business and financial results while managing day-to-day operations across multiple locations, including labor management.
• Experience leading through change and adoption of new processes.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and prioritize across locations.
• Experience managing facilities, staffing, or compliance.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate insights into action.
• Willingness to travel frequently between assigned offices.

Responsibilities

• Own consistent delivery of the consultative client experience across 4-6 offices.
• Evaluate execution quality and client impact across locations.
• Drive adoption of new client experience processes, tools, and behaviors.
• Lead Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals with clear expectations.
• Provide coaching informed by observed behaviors and outcomes.
• Identify patterns across offices and develop bench strength.
• Own revenue, growth, and operational performance across offices.
• Monitor performance metrics and implement actions to improve results.
• Ensure daily operations across offices, including staffing and compliance.
• Prepare for seasonal demand with facilities, equipment, and recruiting readiness.
