Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a Multi-Office Leader (Area Experience Leader) to oversee 4–6 retail offices, ensuring a consistent, high-quality client experience across locations.

You’ll coach Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals, balance strategic oversight with hands-on leadership, and drive revenue and operational performance across the portfolio. You will own office readiness, staffing, facilities, compliance, and day-to-day operations, using data-driven insights to improve client

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years leading teams in multi-unit retail, service, or operations with performance accountability.
• Strong client-centric mindset with consultative client experience.
• Proven ability to coach, develop, and hold teams accountable.
• Experience driving business and financial results across multiple locations, including labor management.
• Experience leading through change and adoption of new processes.
• Ability to prioritize across multiple locations and exercise independent judgment.
• Experience in facilities, staffing, or compliance oversight.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate insights into action.

Responsibilities

• Own consistent consultative client experience across 4–6 offices with disciplined execution.
• Evaluate execution quality and client impact across locations to reinforce strengths and address gaps.
• Drive adoption of new client-experience processes, tools, and behaviors.
• Lead Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals with clear expectations and accountability.
• Provide coaching based on observed behaviors, performance outcomes, and real-time feedback.
• Identify patterns across offices and develop bench strength and high-potential talent.
• Own revenue, growth, and operational performance across offices.
• Monitor performance metrics and implement actions to improve results, acquisition, and retention.
• Oversee daily operations across offices: staffing, scheduling, labor, compliance, SOPs, service delivery.
• Own office readiness including facilities, equipment, supplies, recruiting, onboarding, and seasonal preparation.
