Department of Defense in Georgia seeks an Environmental Compliance Specialist 2 to support GaARNG facilities. You will ensure compliance with GaARNG, DOD, local, state, and federal environmental rules, and develop site visit schedules for facilities across regions.

The role involves identifying environmental issues, coordinating with EOs and CFMO team, and documenting corrective actions in a national database. A relevant degree and experience in environmental protection are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, physics, geology, engineering, or another closely related field.
• Two (2) years of professional job-related experience in environmental protection.
• One (1) year of experience at the lower level Environmental Compliance Spec 1 (RCP020) or equivalent.
• Professional certification in environmental science.

Responsabilités

• Develops site visit/assessment schedule for facilities in regional area of responsibility.
• Identifies present or potential environmental compliance issues during site visit/assessments.
• Communicates issues, regional assessment trends, and site changes to the CFMO Environmental team during meetings.
• Provides guidance to site EOs about compliant waste accumulation and regulatory practices.
