Job summary

The Department of Natural Resources is seeking an Environmental Compliance Specialist for the Augusta Office. Under supervision, you will learn to evaluate programs for compliance with environmental laws, rules, and regulations and recommend monitoring and corrective/enforcement actions.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in a related field and relevant experience in environmental protection.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, physics, geology, engineering, or other closely related field from an accredited college or university.
• Two years of professional job-related experience in environmental protection, OR one year at Environmental Compliance Specialist 1 level.
• Bachelor's degree plus three years of experience for Specialist 3, or one year at Specialist 2 level.
