Job summary

RailPros is seeking an Area Engineering Manager to lead regional engineering efforts, oversee project managers, and drive growth across our rail and transit services. You will coordinate client relations, business development, and financial performance while mentoring staff and shaping organizational strategy.

Ideal candidates bring 15–20 years in rail engineering leadership, PE license, and a proven track record in project management and budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field is required.
• PE license or equivalent required.
• 15-20 years of leadership experience in regional or departmental roles in rail engineering.
• Proven experience with business development, project management, and financial oversight.
• Experience managing client relationships, contracts, and budgets.
• Active involvement in professional organizations or technical committees.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise local area project managers.
• Identify and pursue potential clients and business opportunities.
• Track and report client and project revenue.
• Coordinate resource needs and oversee staffing.
• Mentor employees and promote engagement and communication.
• Attend regional industry events and evaluate sponsorship opportunities.
• Support leadership in strategic decision-making and growth planning.
