Job summary

The California Governor's Office of Emergency Services is seeking an Inland Region Emergency Services Coordinator to serve as the interface between state and local government partners, coordinating state resources before, during, and after disasters across the Inland Region.

The role emphasizes providing advisory support, leading emergency management projects, and coordinating with counties, cities, and tribal governments to strengthen preparedness and response capabilities.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating with state and local emergency management partners.
• Ability to lead and manage multi-agency projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with emergency management planning and exercises.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary interface between state and local governments on emergency management initiatives.
• Provide advisory support and coordination to local and tribal governments, regional staff, and state agencies.
• Lead and support emergency management projects and preparedness initiatives.
• Respond to disasters and emergencies statewide, including after-hours deployments when required.
• Maintain routine program responsibilities while addressing short-term urgent assignments.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal deadlines.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders through written reports, briefings, and presentations.
• Develop and implement solutions to complex emergency management challenges.
