Job summary

DSG in the United States seeks a Regional Sales Manager for the ND region to lead planning, directing and monitoring electrical sales activities. You will develop the region’s sales team to achieve sales and gross margin objectives while driving customer experience.

The role requires coaching a high-performing, autonomous team and ongoing collaboration with leadership to grow market share and customer retention, with extensive travel across the ND region.

Qualifications

• Five years of field selling experience in the Electrical industry with 3–5 years of sales management experience.
• Valid driver’s license; heavy travel required.
• Experience in the distribution industry.
• High level of analytical ability to interpret data and solve problems.
• Ability to lead, coach and motivate individuals and teams.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to lead diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to plan, analyze, prioritize and organize work under pressure.
• Familiarity with local markets.
• Comfort delivering effective presentations.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, retain and develop a top-performing Outside Sales Account Managers team.
• Develop and execute strategic plans to increase market share and gross profit.
• Develop annual customer sales and margin budgets for existing and new targets.
• Review account performance to align with regional objectives.
• Accompany sales team on customer calls to exceed expectations and grow market share.
• Coach the sales force to maintain autonomy while improving effectiveness.
• Maintain relationships with key customers and strategic vendors.
• Provide leadership for pricing proposals and strategic plans for key accounts.
• Monitor market activity and product performance to stay profitable.
• Manage expenses related to sales activities in line with regional goals.
• Sponsor inventory decisions to meet market needs and accelerate turnover.
• Lead adoption of our eCommerce platform among existing and new customers.
