Job summary

Neogen’s Regional EHS Manager - North leads Environmental, Health, and Safety programs across the Northern U.S. and Canada, onsite near Madison, WI, supporting multiple facilities including manufacturing, distribution, R&D, and labs.

You will develop strategic EHS, security, and risk plans, oversee multi-site programs, and act as a technical expert on compliance matters. The role requires 7+ years in EHS, strong NFPA/EPCRA knowledge, and up to 50% travel.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in an EHS-related field or science/engineering field required.
  • EHS certifications (CSP, CHMM, CIH) a plus.
  • Min. 7+ years of direct EHS experience in biotech/chemical/related industries.
  • Experience with Env. Compliance, PSM, RCRA LQG, hazardous waste disposal, SPCC/SWPPP, EPCRA Tier II & TRI reporting.
  • NFPA codes for flammable liquids/gases and Life Safety Codes experience.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

  • Own and implement EHS programs to ensure injury prevention and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop and drive strategic EHS, Security, and Risk Control plans.
  • Oversee multi-site EHS programs including environmental and safety domains.
  • Lead investigations into incidents and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop site environmental management plans with timely reporting and permitting.
  • Drive data-informed decision making using KPI and analytics.
