Job summary

Ryerson is hiring a Regional EHS Manager to lead EHS programs for multiple markets in the United States. You will ensure compliance with Federal, state, and local regulations, supervise multimarket staff, and drive continuous safety improvements across locations.

The role requires 8–10 years in EHS within manufacturing or distribution, strong leadership, and data-driven risk management. Competitive salary with incentives and a strong commitment to safety culture.

Qualifications

• BS degree in a safety/environmental field with 8–10 years EHS leadership experience.
• Ability to lead multi-market EHS programs and train managers and staff.
• Self-directed, professional, and dependable with data-driven risk reduction.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to advance safety, health, security, and welfare across multimarket locations.
• Develop, deploy, and monitor EHS programs and policies to meet regulatory and customer requirements.
• Coach managers and supervisors on their EHS roles and responsibilities.
• Administer root cause analysis to identify hazards and implement best practices.
• Monitor EHS performance, identify risks, and propose corrective actions.
• Promote a zero-harm culture and continuous safety improvement.
• Participate in the Safety Council and transfer SOPs to market activities.
• Report progress to Regional Presidents and assist with leadership duties.
