Nevada State University seeks a Coordinator of Northern Nevada Programs based in Carson City/WNC Campus to supervise pre-service teachers, advise students on 2+2 transfer pathways from TMCC/WNC, and recruit prospective students from partner colleges and high schools. The role involves building partnerships with local districts and travel across Northern Nevada.

The position requires a Master's in Education, a Nevada teaching license, and experience supervising teachers, with strong communication

Qualifications

Master's degree in Education or closely related field.
Valid Nevada teaching license/certification with K-12 teaching experience.
Experience supervising, mentoring, or evaluating pre-service or novice teachers.
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Ability to travel regularly throughout Northern Nevada to school sites, TMCC, and WNC campuses.

Responsibilities

Supervise Pre-Service Teachers in Northern Nevada: observe classrooms, evaluate progress, and report on student progress.
Advise SoE Students on 2+2 transfer pathways from TMCC/WNC into Nevada State's education programs.
Teach Student Teaching Seminar Course: provide feedback, manage grading and records.
Recruitment for the School of Education: present at TMCC/WNC and area high schools to promote programs.
Build rapport with Cooperating Teachers & District Partners across WCSD, Lyon, Carson City, Churchill, and Douglas County.
