Job summary

IDEA Public Schools seeks an Emergent Bilingual (EB)/English Learner (EL) coach to oversee a regional portfolio of schools and ensure high-quality EB/EL instruction and compliance. The role includes coaching teachers, delivering PD, data analysis, and supporting sites with EB documentation and Ellevation usage.

Travel to campuses is up to 40% at peak times; the position is full-time and hybrid, reporting to the Florida VP of Schools.

Qualifications

• Bilingual or ESOL certification required.
• Bachelor's degree required; Masters or post-baccalaureate preferred.
• 1–3 years of EB/EL teaching experience.
• 3+ years of total teaching experience preferred.
• Technology proficient; ability to leverage edtech tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct classroom observations and coaching for EB/EL staff with clear next steps.
• Provide on-site staff development on data-driven learning and ELD strategies.
• Support campus leaders and teachers to implement EB/EL programming and compliance.
• Coordinate with regional and campus leaders to align EB/EL priorities and scheduling.
• Track and ensure EB documents and data are maintained accurately.
