Job summary

Superior Paving Corp. in Virginia is seeking a dedicated Dump Truck Driver to haul construction materials regionally. The role requires operating heavy dump trucks, performing safety inspections, and maintaining transport logs in compliance with DOT regulations.

The position offers a sign-on bonus and schedules requiring overtime, weekends, and night shifts as needed. A valid CDL and DOT medical card are mandatory, with at least two years of CDL experience.

Qualifications

• Valid Class B CDL with clean driving record and endorsements as required.
• Minimum 2 years of CDL driving experience.
• Current DOT medical card and ability to pass DOT physicals.
• Ability to read and speak English.
• No DOT accidents in past 3 years; no more than 3 moving violations in past 3 years; no DUI or reckless driving in last 7 years.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on assigned trucks.
• Submit written or electronic reports on truck condition after each shift.
• Operate 30-ton tri-axel or 34-ton quad-axel dump trucks with safe driving techniques.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine maintenance.
• Load and unload freight with safety considerations.
• Schedule and attend DOT physicals as required.
• Maintain regulatory logs and records as required.
• Report delays due to breakdowns, weather, or traffic.
