Job summary

EMR Group in Texas is seeking a Transportation Compliance Coordinator to lead DOT/FMCSA compliance across our Southwest Region, based out of Houston or Dallas with travel to other sites as needed. You will maintain audit readiness, manage driver qualification files with a third-party provider, and implement regulatory updates across all SW Region locations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in DOT/FMCSA compliance, transportation regulatory compliance, safety, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT drug/alcohol testing, ELD requirements, and driver qualification files.
• Experience managing vendor/third-party compliance service relationships.
• Strong recordkeeping and organizational discipline; ability to work independently with multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Own the relationship with the third-party provider responsible for driver qualification files and ensure records are accurate for all SW Region drivers.
• Maintain FMCSA/DOT audit readiness across all regional transportation operations.
• Monitor regulatory changes related to FMCSA regulations and communicate updates across locations.
• Coordinate follow-up for transportation incidents and investigations in the SW Region.
• Establish and maintain consistent compliance documentation and processes across the region.
• Serve as regional contact for regulatory agencies, DOT/FMCSA, and third‑party auditors.
• Partner with leadership to identify compliance gaps and drive corrective actions.
• Support a culture of proactive transportation compliance across the Southwest Region.
