Job summary

Champion Petfoods is seeking a Regional Distributor Manager, U.S. to drive sales growth and distributor performance through our premium pet foods.

This remote role (preferably near Boulder, CO) requires strong leadership of distributor partners and cross-functional collaboration to deliver profitable growth across the region. You will translate national strategies into regional plans, develop joint business plans, and coach distributor sales teams to excel in execution and ROI.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive sales experience within the pet industry, consumer packaged goods, or related distribution-driven environment.
• Demonstrated success managing distributor relationships and driving growth through indirect sales channels.
• Proven ability to develop and execute business plans that deliver revenue growth, distribution gains, and improved customer performance.
• Strong financial and commercial acumen, including forecasting, budgeting, business analysis, and ROI management.
• Experience influencing and developing sales teams without direct reporting authority.
• Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to travel approximately 40-50% within assigned geography.

Responsibilities

• Own sales, distribution, and execution result across assigned distributor partners and territories.
• Manage distributor performance with KPIs and corrective action plans.
• Develop and execute Joint Business Plans with distributor partners.
• Lead annual planning, forecasting, and business reviews with distributors.
• Coach Distributor Sales Representatives to improve execution and sales effectiveness.
• Conduct market visits to evaluate retail execution, merchandising, and price/promotions.
