As the Regional Distribution Sales Manager at Ruhrpumpen, you will be responsible for growing distribution and OEM sales in the Southeast region, increasing market share by managing the current network and adding channel partners as needed to meet sales goals.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Grow the indirect sales channel/distribution segment and OEM accounts.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of current channels through joint sales calls and other contact methods.
- Identify, interview, and propose new distributors to achieve sales goals.
- Support and document growth within distributor networks, manage relationships, and terminate ineffective partners professionally if necessary.
- Maintain proper records and utilize the CRM system effectively.
- Assist distributors in increasing their knowledge of Ruhrpumpen products, processes, policies, and procedures.
- Help distributor personnel become self-sufficient using electronic programs and materials for product selection, presentation, and quotations.
- Provide feedback to the North American Distributor Sales Manager on distributor performance, expenses, competitive information, and product development needs.
- Communicate regularly with distribution regarding goals, performance, promotional activities, inventories, obsolescence, and new products.
- Ensure sales objectives are met considering market conditions and competition.
- Work with Market Managers to develop distribution channels and increase market penetration.
- Organize and conduct sales training and assist distributor personnel with sales and application issues.
- Complete and follow up on the Target Account Form program for each distributor salesperson.
- Support distributor sales personnel in customer calls to grow territory sales.
- Prepare and present sales reports and attend meetings and seminars.
Qualifications:
- Willingness to travel up to 60-70% within the region, including overnight stays.
- Strong understanding of the Distribution Sales Channel and supporting company growth.
- Respond promptly and attentively to distributor and customer requests and issues.
- Ability to maintain positive relationships internally and externally, even under challenging circumstances.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in pumps and related products.

This position is based in your home office; candidates should reside near a major airport in the Southeast. The territory includes Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Tennessee, North Carolina, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, and Florida.
