Responsibilities:
As our RDC Manager, you will:
- Ensure all vehicles are maintained according to manufacturers’ recommendations, are roadworthy, and operate within legal requirements (e.g., payload, tachograph).
- Establish and maintain personnel files for all RDC staff, ensuring records are up to date.
- Motivate staff and hold regular monthly meetings, documenting minutes.
- Ensure drivers are instructed in vehicle operation, procedures, quality, and security.
- Cover delivery routes during staff holidays, absences, and for ad hoc volume drops.
Candidate Requirements:
- Must hold a current full Irish license.
- Manager CPC desirable (or willing to acquire).
- Working knowledge of tachographs and EU driving regulations related to the working time directive.
- Organised and flexible to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Smart personal appearance.
- Ability to complete a DBS check.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills for regular contact with customers.
- Team-oriented.
- Basic PC skills (Word, Excel, etc.).
