Forward Air Corp. in Selma, TX is seeking a Dispatcher to coordinate day-to-day freight across local, regional, and national routes. You will dispatch company and independent contractor drivers, maintain data accuracy, and keep shipments visible with proactive communication.

The role requires strong customer service, adherence to SOPs, and reliable attendance in a 100% on-site setting. On-site work with standard daytime hours is expected.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow processes and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced dispatch environment.
• Basic problem-solving skills with sound judgment.
• Experience with dispatch or TMS systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and dispatch customer freight across local, regional, and long-haul routes.
• Dispatch company drivers and independent contractors per SOPs.
• Serve as primary driver contact via phone, in-cab tech, and email.
• Relay load instructions and document interactions in internal systems.
• Monitor shipment status and driver progress to ensure on-time pickups/deliveries.
• Maintain driver hours, availability, and performance records.
• Identify service disruptions and escalate to leadership.
• Provide routine customer updates and shipment status.
