Job summary

Veterans Benefits Administration seeks a Director to lead the VA Regional Office's operations and programs, ensuring timely, accurate, and Veteran-centered delivery of benefits and services. You will set policies, supervise managers, monitor performance, and allocate resources to support mission success.

The role requires directing human capital programs, overseeing VBA lines, and representing the office with Veterans, stakeholders, and government partners.

Qualifications

• One year of specialized experience at or above the GS-14 level in leading and directing large, complex programs within a regional or federal environment.
• Experience in developing and implementing policies, procedures, or organizational plans.
• Experience supervising managers or multidisciplinary teams and managing budgets, resources, and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of the VA Regional Office's operations and programs to ensure timely, accurate, Veteran-centered delivery of benefits and services.
• Establish policies and procedures aligning regional operations with VBA and VA requirements.
• Direct subordinate managers to resolve operational challenges and ensure effective service delivery.
• Monitor program performance and implement corrective actions to improve outcomes and efficiency.
• Develop organizational plans and determine resource needs to meet mission objectives.
• Oversee human capital programs including staffing, development, performance management, and grievance resolution.
• Represent the Regional Office with Veterans, community stakeholders, government partners, and interagency committees.
