Job summary

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is seeking a Regional Director to lead operations in Region 3. Based in Grand Prairie, TX, you will direct facilities programs, manage budgets, and collaborate with community and governmental partners to advance agency goals.

This exempt full-time role requires strong leadership, financial acumen, and the ability to translate policy into effective programs. Telework is eligible; salary range is $7,015.16 to $9,439.83 monthly.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations relevant to program area.
• Knowledge of facilities management principles and related policies.
• Knowledge of contract management.
• Skill in working collaboratively with diverse groups and in conflict resolution.
• Ability to direct and organize program activities.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Provides vision, directions and leadership in developing, implementing, or monitoring programs goals/objectives.
• Communicates on a complex level with others to exchange information and resolve issues.
• Supervises unit/staff including planning work schedules and ensuring compliance.
• Directs or coordinates activities of units including budgeting, contracts, and operations.
• Interacts with staff or customers to discuss results of reviews and studies.
• Analyzes potential effects of legislation on agency operations.
