Atira Hotels, a well-known hospitality group, is actively searching for a highly experienced and strategic-minded Regional Director of Sales to join our dynamic team. In this important leadership position, the ideal candidate will have the responsibility of overseeing a cluster of hotels within a designated region. Their main goal will be to drive revenue by developing and implementing effective sales strategies, collaborating closely with property Directors of Sales, and providing guidance to the sales teams. The Regional Director of Sales will play a crucial role in optimizing total revenue and market share for each property, thus contributing to the overall success and profitability of the region.
Job Description
Broad Objectives
The Regional Director of Sales provides overall leadership, guidance, and direction to the Hotel Directors of Sales and their sales teams. The RDOS ensures that all required functions and duties are completed for each hotel in compliance with Atira Hospitality standards, franchise standards, and local laws. The RDOS provides guidance to ensure that each hotel's business plan is executed, and the hotel strives in all facets to achieve budgeted performance. The RDOS ensures that the hotel leverages all resources and tools provided to maximize sales in relation to revenue production and profitability.
Requirements
- Requirements:
- Prior experience in overseeing sales for multiple properties, with a preference for operations experience.
- Proficiency in utilizing Excel, Word, Delphi, and access database tools.
- Availability to travel up to 50% of the time (2-3 days a week).
- Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions when supporting properties.
- Professional communication skills and the capacity to adapt interpersonal skills to diverse audiences.
- Strong strategic thinking abilities and the capability to respond effectively.
Specific Duties
- Property Visits:Work with the property level sales and revenue teams to review short- and long-term revenue forecasts, review the weekly and monthly forecast and identify areas of opportunity and strategies to improve the revenue.
- Marketing and Promotion:Ensures that sense of arrival, marketing collateral, online marketing presence and overall promotion of the hotel is optimized and executed as per business plan.
- Sales:Ensures that the property sales efforts are aggressive, targeted and generating accretive room nights in accordance with the property business plan.
- Liaison:Act as direct liaison between ownership and property
Reporting
- Weekly Reporting:Provides brief explanation for performance, overview of current initiatives and summary of success.
- Quarterly Meeting:Meets quarterly with president and/ or ownership to review activity and adjust action plans and focus as needed.
Tools and Resources
RDOS will utilize AtiraNET, OwnerView, MachForm and CRM systems.
Evaluation
RDOS will be evaluated based on property Director of Sales scorecard performance.
