With a position in Sales & Marketing, you’ll strengthen our relationships with clients, anticipate their needs, and think outside the box to unlock new possibilities.

This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from home or your location of record within the U.S. with no in-office requirements. You must be available five days per week during designated work hours. The work arrangement for this role is subject to change based on business needs and individual performance. This may include adjustments to on-site requirements or schedule expectations, as necessary.

Position Overview: The Director, Sales is responsible for leading, motivating, and managing a team of sales professionals to meet or exceed sales targets within their assigned region or vertical. This role involves driving sales performance, overseeing the day-to-day activities of the sales team, and developing strategies to enhance revenue growth. You need to possess a strong attention to detail, prior experience in people management, and an extensive background in sales management.

Reports To: Regional Vice President of Sales

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead, motivate, and manage a team of sales professionals to meet or exceed sales targets within their assigned region or vertical.
  • Drive sales performance, oversee daily activities, and develop strategies for revenue growth.
  • Set clear performance expectations, provide coaching, and ensure professional development for team members.
  • Establish sales goals, KPIs, and performance benchmarks to promote motivation and accountability.
  • Teach and train the Paylocity sales process to maximize the potential of Account Executives.
  • Monitor sales activities and performance, providing guidance to overcome challenges and close deals.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to review sales metrics, share updates, and foster collaboration.
  • Conduct performance reviews and develop career progression plans for sales team members.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Sales or business operations.
  • 2+ years of experience managing HCM Account Executives.
  • Experience with payroll, HR, time and attendance solutions, and large organizations.
  • Proficient in CRM software.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel and work in a virtual environment.

  • Manual dexterity for operating a computer and handling small objects.
  • Sensory abilities to see, hear, and touch.
  • Mental effort for reading, writing, and analysis.

The base pay range for this position is $102,600 - $180,000/year; actual offered pay may vary based on experience and skills. The role is eligible for a variable commission plan, annual stock grants, and benefits outlined here. Applicants should apply via www.paylocity.com/careers.
